Fun-day raises cash for two charities
Article date: 28 Jan 2013
A carnival day at The Ivory Peg, in Chelmsford, raised £686 for two charity causes.
Pub manager David Paterson (pictured far right, as the bearded lady!) and his team wore fancy dress for the occasion.
There was face-painting and hook-a-duck for the youngsters, a cake stall, raffle and ‘pie the
manager’ activities.
The proceeds were split 50-50 between CLIC Sargent and a local charity The J’s Hospice, in Chelmsford, which provides hospice and respite care in Essex for young adults with lifelimiting and life-threatening conditions.
