Fourteen pubs across Devon are to serve a selection of beers, brewed in the county, during a week-long regional beer festival

The pubs will be hosting the festival from Monday to Monday (2–9 March, inclusive), with all beers available at £1.59 a pint.

The participating pubs are: George’s Meeting House, Exeter; The Britannia Inn, Plymouth; The General Sir Redvers Buller, Crediton; The Gog & Magog, Plymouth; The Imperial, Exeter; The Isaac Merritt, Paignton; The London Inn, Torquay; The Mannamead, Plymouth; The Panniers, Barnstaple; The Powder Monkey, Exmouth; The Richard Hopkins, Newton Abbot; The Union Rooms, Plymouth; The Vigilance, Brixham; The White Ball Inn, Tiverton.

Among the beers on offer will be a brand-new beer, Devon Dumpling, brewed especially for the festival by Paignton-based Bays Brewery.

The other beers on offer include: Avocet/Darkness (The Exeter Brewery); Bays Gold/Devon Dumpling (Bays Brewery); Dartmoor IPA/Jail Ale (Dartmoor Brewery); Devon Dew (Summerskills Brewery); Devon Glory/Devon Heaven (Exe Valley Brewery); Oliver’s Nectar/Cavalier (Clearwater Brewery); Otter Bright/Otter Head (Otter Brewery); Red Rock/Break Water (Red Rock Brewery); Goldblade/Royal Oak (O’Hanlon’s Brewery).

The London Inn’s manager, Keith Huntshaw, said: “The region produces superb beers – and I am delighted to be showcasing them at The London Inn.

“It will be a great opportunity for our customers to enjoy an outstanding choice of beers, while supporting Devon’s economy at the same time.”
