Festival’s first-choice bar

The Standing Order has been named as ‘best bar in Edinburgh 2010’ by www.visitingedinburgh.com – the tourist website.
The pub received the accolade from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe website, providing information on travel, hotels, sightseeing, pubs, restaurants and nightlife to those visiting Scotland’s capital.
The site said: “For superb value and friendly chat in the centre of town, The Standing Order is www.visitingedinburgh.com choice for our bar of the year 2010.”
The pub’s manager, Archie Denny (left), pictured with deputy manager Andrew Warrender, said: “We are pleased to have been chosen ahead of numerous pubs and bars in the city.”
