Pub manager Paul Sanderson is pictured with Doncaster boxer Gavin McDonnell at The Gate House, in the South Yorkshire town.

The super bantamweight boxer was at the pub, for the official weigh-in, ahead of his successful Central Area championship fight against Scott Gladwin.

Gavin, 26, beat Gladwin in the sixth round at the Dome, to win the title.

Paul said: “It was great to have Gavin at the pub for the weigh-in. The pub was packed out with customers and fans wishing him all the best for the fight.”

Gavin’s twin brother Jamie is currently the British and Commonwealth bantamweight champion.
