The Childwall Fiveways Hotel joined forces with a local charity to raise funds through a family fun-day.
Shift manager Lauren Malt, who works at the pub in Liverpool, organised the event with The Oliver King Foundation which amassed just over £1,100. A donation of £360 was given to CLIC Sargent, with £740 going to The Oliver King Foundation, enough to buy another defibrillator.
Named after Ollie King, a 12-year-old local boy who died tragically from sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS), the foundation aims to buy and install defibrillators in schools across Merseyside.
The money was raised through various activities, including beat the goalie, coconut shy, cake stall, tombola, face-painting, bouncy castle, barbecue, jumble sale, sweet stall and competitions.
