A special Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) evening at The Water Poet, in Gloucester, was attended by 40 people and raised £80 for CLIC Sargent.

Gloucester CAMRA chairman Alan Stephens stepped down from his role, after 22 years, and pub manager Emma Lawrence marked the occasion with a celebration and buffet at the pub.

Emma said: “Alan regularly frequents our pub, so I thought it only right that he should have his leaving party with us.”

Emma is pictured (left) presenting Alan with a plaque detailing his history with the CAMRA branch, along with Margaret Wilkins, the caretaker chair.
