The Yarborough Hotel, in Grimsby, has scooped two prestigious titles, in the local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) awards.
Grimsby and Cleethorpes CAMRA members voted the popular town-centre outlet ‘Town Pub of the Year 2013’, as well as recognising it as ‘Overall Pub of the Year 2013’.
New pub manager Debbie Close, pictured left with bar associate Lizzie Willmer, said: “I am very pleased with the CAMRA title, even though I can’t say it’s all my hard work, because I’ve only been here since mid March!
“Real ales are popular because they have individual tastes and it is an experience to taste a variety.”
CAMRA Grimsby’s website said: “The Yarborough Hotel is an imposing building in the heart of the town and an extremely popular public house.
“The Yarborough Hotel received Pub of the Year status a year after opening (in May 1997) and on three more occasions, before the current 2013 award.”
