The Gate House, in Doncaster, has gained recognition from its local Campaign for Real Ale branch.
The pub has been named ‘pub of the season’ winter 2009/10, by members of the Doncaster CAMRA branch.
Deputy chairman of Doncaster CAMRA Ian Jones, pictured presenting the award to pub shift manager Wes Gore, said: “Our ‘pub of the season’ awards are made to recognise a pub’s hard work and dedication in the cause of real ale. “The Gate House was a popular choice with our members, for the range and quality of the beers, including a selection of guest ales on offer, from a wide range of breweries.”
The pub’s manager, Emma Sayles, said: “The Gate House has never won this award before, so we are absolutely delighted. It was a real team effort and is fantastic that all of the hard work has been rewarded.”
