Article date: 24 Jun 2013

Sion Williams, pub manager at Tafarn Y Porth, is pictured receiving a certificate from members of his local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch.

Sion (left) is pictured with (left to right) Cemlyn Jones (young members co-ordinator), Kerry Jones (member) and Dave Farrah (branch secretary) from Gwynedd & Anglesey CAMRA.

The pub, in Caernarfon, was voted ‘pub of the season’ for autumn 2012. Sion said: “This is the first time that we have won a CAMRA award and it coincides with the pub’s first inclusion in the Good Beer Guide, so we are delighted.”

The beers on offer at the pub include those from The Big Bog Brewery, Conwy Brewery and Purple Moose Brewery.
