The Lime Kiln, in Liverpool, is the venue for a weekly disco and social afternoon, for more than 200 people with learning difficulties.

Run by Active Community Enterprise (ACE), a community-based support agency for adults with learning disabilities, the very popular event has now been running for 18 months.

ACE offers a fully structured programme of leisure, social and work activities, including cycling, a walking/rambling club, sports club, gardening club, movie club and discos.

The Tuesday-afternoon disco at The Lime Kiln runs from noon until 3pm and, as well as music and dancing, there is bingo and a raffle, for those of mixed ages and physical/mental abilities.

With easy wheelchair access and toilet facilities for those with disabilities, The Lime Kiln is the ideal venue for the group.
