Managers and staff from three pubs in Leeds teamed up to take part in a sponsored bike ride for charity.

The six fund-raisers, four cyclists and two support team members, completed the ‘coast-to-coast’ route, from St Bees on the western shores to Tynemouth in the east.

The four-day challenge, a distance of 140 miles (225km), raised more than £1,000 for the BBC’s Children in Need charity.

Keira Munday, shift manager at The Crossed Shuttle, said: “It was a tough challenge, but very enjoyable. A huge thankyou to everyone for their support and generosity, helping us to exceed £1,000.”
