A charity fund-raising weekend at The Bell Hanger, in Chepstow, raised almost a grand for the Walk the Walk breast cancer charity.

The pub’s manager, John Davies, is pictured during the event with his sister Julia Rennie (left) and partner Julie Rogers, who helped to organise the fund-raising and are both taking part in 10 marathons for the cause in 2011.

The pub was decorated in the charity’s trademark pink, with ribbons, balloons and a bra display – to raise awareness.

A name-the-bear competition, a raffle and cash collections raised a total of £953.
