The George, in Croydon, has won two accolades from members of its local CAMRA branch.

It has been voted as Croydon Borough’s ‘pub of the year 2011’, as well as overall branch ‘pub of the year.’

As a result, the pub has been entered into voting for the CAMRA London Regional ‘pub of the year’ title.

Branch chairman David Lands (second right) is pictured presenting a certificate to pub manager Steve Meek (centre) and his team.
