The Bluecoat, in Rotherham, celebrated success in its local Campaign for Real Ale awards.
Rotherham Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch members voted Garry Carr’s pub as ‘Town Pub of the Year’ for 2012.
The Bluecoat, which has won the title previously, most recently two years ago, serves 10 beers at all times, including eight ever-changing guest ales.
Garry, pictured right with Steve Burns chairman Rotherham CAMRA, said: “We are always on the look-out for new brewers and beers and championing our local breweries.
“We are delighted that CAMRA have recognised our efforts with this award.”
Among the ales available at The Bluecoat are offerings from Welbeck Abbey Brewery, Elland Brewery, Kelham Island Brewery, Bradfield Brewery and Saltaire Brewery.
Jim Crowe, pubs officer of Rotherham CAMRA branch, said: “The Bluecoat has the widest range of high-quality real ales in Rotherham. Add friendly staff and Wetherspoon’s renowned value-for-money and you have a winning combination.”
