Pub manager Gary Williams is pictured on the disabled ramp, at his pub The Wilfred Owen, in Oswestry.
The Oswestry and District Access Group, a disabled action group campaigning for easy access for all, recognised the pub in its awards to local businesses for their contribution to access for wheelchair users.
The new ramp, at the rear of the Shropshire pub, which was installed in October last year, at a cost of £35,000, was selected for recognition by the group.
Gary said: “We have always had disabled access at the front of the pub, via a ramp to the front door, but the new ramp has made wheelchair access even easier.
“We knocked through the beer garden wall and remodelled the entire external drinking area, to accommodate the new structure.”
