An appreciation of malt

Pub manager Matt Knowles (pictured) hosted a whisky-tasting evening at his pub in Edinburgh.
Customers at The Playfair were able to sample whisky from Whyte & Mackay, with a representative also giving a presentation on the distilling process and offering tasting tips.
The samples available were Isle of Jura single malt, Origin 10, a 10-year-old whisky from Jura, and Fettercairn single malt ‘Fior’, a Highland malt from the distillery in Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire.
