Bar associate Amy Roebuck-Smith is one step closer to achieving her dream.
Amy, 18, who works part time at The Bransty Arch, in Whitehaven, as well as studying performing arts at Carlisle College, has secured a place at a prestigious theatre school, the National Youth Theatre (NYT), in Manchester.
Amy (pictured), who is hoping for a career in musical theatre, has been offered a place on a two-week course, in the hope of graduation and membership of the group.
She said: “I would love to have a career in musical theatre, to work in the West End, so I was really pleased when I got the letter to say that I had been accepted.”
Darren Spedding, pub manager at The Bransty Arch, said: “We are all delighted for Amy and wish her every success.”
