The Knights Templar was the meeting place for almost 60 former train drivers, at a reunion in Bristol.
They gathered at the pub for their half-yearly meeting of the steam locomotive drivers who used to operate the London Paddington to Cardiff/Swansea route.
The former drivers, some now in their nineties, used to be based at depots across south Wales, Bristol, Swindon and London. They travelled from as far west as Llanelli and as far east as Paddington for the event.
Situated very close to the main station, Bristol Temple Meads, The Knights Templar has become a popular venue for several current railway workers, who enjoy food and drink at the pub.
When the local Railway Club closed, the pub also became home to three social groups, meeting monthly.
