Pub manager Garry Carr (left) is pictured with his nine-year-old son Lewis, proudly receiving a Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) award from deputy branch chairman Jim Crowe.

Garry’s pub, The Bluecoat, in Rotherham, finished as runner-up in the Rotherham CAMRA ‘town pub of the year’ for 2013.

As part of the presentation evening, there was a meet-the-brewer event, with head brewer Claire Monk from Welbeck Abbey Brewery, to launch the pub’s new summer ale.
