Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren was born at Stapleford Hall, in 1753. He commanded the Royal Navy during the War of American Independence and the Napoleonic Wars, in
which he became a Rear Admiral.
The pub, which cost £1.95 million to develop, features a beer garden at the front of the premises.
