The internationally renowned Morriston Orpheus Choir performed at a special VIP evening, to mark the opening of The Red Lion Inn, in its home town.
The 80-strong choir, which practises near Wetherspoon’s newly opened pub in the town, The Red Lion Inn, travels across the world to give performances, as well as in the UK.
The Right Worshipful The Lord Mayor of the City & County of Swansea, Councillor Ioan Richard and local councillors, as well as players from Swansea City FC and Ospreys rugby team, were in attendance.
The choir’s chairman, Terry Bennett, said: “On our regular travels across the UK, we often seek a Wetherspoon pub – and it is great to have one right here on our doorstep.
“Several of the choir members enjoy quenching their thirst at the pub after our twice-weekly rehearsal sessions.”
