Three Wetherspoon pubs in East Yorkshire have been accredited at the second annual East Riding Best Bar None Awards 2012.
City and County, in Goole, The Prior John, in Bridlington, and The Benjamin Fawcett (pictured), in Driffield, all received a certificate of accreditation.
Assessments were carried out over a six-month period across East Riding, with the aim of raising standards and recognising the best licensed premises.
Councillor Claude Mole, vice-chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We are delighted with the response of local licensees to the Best Bar None Awards Scheme.
“This scheme encourages licensees to act responsibly and take pride in their premises and surroundings and, in doing so, put something back into their local community.”
