The Bank House, in Cheltenham, has won a commendation in the Cheltenham Civic Awards 2009.

The pub’s restored façade was highlighted by judges, who considered it be among the best structure and renovation in the town in the previous 12 months.

The Civic Awards, sponsored by Cheltenham Borough Council, are part of an annual scheme to celebrate the town’s best and most innovative designs.

Wetherspoon’s head of property and acquisitions, Jon Randall, said: “The design of our buildings is of paramount importance – and this is evident in the award given to The Bank House.”
