Historically, pubs have always been a focal point of any community and we aim to continue that tradition by supporting and building relationships with the local community, through employment and the provision of services and investment in the local area. We aim to provide good access for those with disabilities.

In the last year, the company has received several design awards for pub development, including the International Food & Beverage Creative Excellence (FAB) award for the ‘Best Bar at an Airport – worldwide’ for The Red Lion, Gatwick Airport North Terminal; the Quale Award in recognition of the restoration of the Castle Hotel, Ruthin and the Dr. Nicholson Award for good design, imaginative ideas and quality development for (The King’s Head Hotel, Beccles). In addition, the company has been recognised, at the Loo of the Year Awards 2014, for the quality of our toilet provision, including National Winner Hospitality Market Sector and National Pub Category Awards in England (the Bear, Melksham), Wales (the Castle Hotel, Ruthin), Scotland (the David Macbeth Moir, Musselburgh) and Northern Ireland (the Bridge House, Belfast).

The company is the largest single corporate fundraiser for the CLIC Sargent charity (caring for children with cancer and their families), a partnership now in its twelfth consecutive year, raising over £9.3 million to date, with a pledge to raise a further £1 million annually. During the past financial year, we have raised £1.7 million.
