About this hotel

The Swan Hotel is in the heart of Leighton Buzzard, housed in a grade II listed building. The hotel has been furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard, in keeping with the character of the building and highlighting Leighton Buzzard’s rich history. It’s been transformed into a vibrant, friendly pub, with a great atmosphere and is a beautiful place to stay. There are 39 stunning hotel rooms, beautifully decorated, comprising family rooms and twin, single and double rooms, as well as those designed specifically for customers with disabilities. There’s also a deluxe family suite which sleeps four guests (two adults and two children). All rooms have en suite shower and bath facilities, plasma TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities and hair dryer. The pub has a conservatory, courtyard and cosy fires for the winter months, plus an extensive range of food and drink. Wi-Fi is available in the hotel – free of charge.

Directions

From the M1 leave at junctions 12 or 13 and follow signs for the A5. From Milton Keynes take the A5 to onto A4146 heading in to Leighton Buzzard . From the A5 take the A4146 , take the turn off roundabout for the bypass and exit left at the roundabout towards Linslade. The road will bring you in to the centre of leighton Buzzard.

Car-parking

There is car-parking on site for bookings of our ground floor rooms for those with disabilities. For all other guests, there is a pay-and-display car park to the rear of the building, on Duncombe Drive (LU7 1SD for your sat nav). Parking charges apply from 8am to 6pm and start from 50p for two hours. Special daily and weekly rates are available, while Sunday is free.

Local transport

Leighton Buzzard railway station is only 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel and 10 minutes by taxi. The rail links into Birmingham and London are direct. Milton Keynes is only 10 minutes by train. Local buses and taxis are available to local attractions.

Leighton Buzzard is a traditional market town in Bedfordshire. It retains much of its history and character, yet still provides a bustling, attractive and vibrant centre for today's visitors. A labyrinth of streets and shopping mews allows you to explore all that the town has to offer, with many historic buildings (some dating from the 13th and 15th century), parks, attractions and shopping delights to explore. The town also boasts its own narrow-gauge railway, where children and steam enthusiasts can enjoy a five-and-a-half-mile journey down memory lane. Situated on the borders of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, this town is the perfect base for exploring an area whose countryside is as attractive and diverse as the range of sporting opportunities and family attractions on offer. Woburn Safari Park and Whipsnade Zoo being just two of them. The town also has great rail links into London and Birmingham, taking only 40 minutes by train into Euston and Wembley.
