About this Hotel

This town-centre landmark is an amalgamation of historic buildings dating from the 15th and 18th centuries, known as The Royal Hop Pole. We have 28 individual bedrooms. All of our rooms are ensuite and include tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, digital flat screen television, iron and complimentary water. FREE Wi-Fi is available in the bar area.

We are an English Heritage hotel and the detail inside reflects this. We have an undiscovered Medieval Hall upstairs, as well as beautiful fireplace within the pub.

Directions

Tewkesbury is in Gloucestershire, on the north-western edge of the Cotswolds, within easy access of junction 9 of the M5 motorway. Follow the A438 (Ashchurch Road) into Tewkesbury and on to the A38 Church Street; we are just up the road from the Tourist Information Centre. Ashchurch train station is the closest station to us and a 10 minute journey on the 41 bus will drop you right into the town centre.

Residents parking is available at the rear of the hotel (please come to reception to pick up your free parking permit). There is also a coach park a short walk away.

The bus station is a 15 minute walk from the hotel, with regular buses to Cheltenham and Gloucester. The closest train station is Ashchurch station – 10 minutes away by bus.

The town and surrounding area are steeped in history, with a wealth of historic buildings and attractions to discover, as well as some simply stunning river-valley countryside, making the Cotswolds and Severn Vale one of the best-loved regions.
