Founded in the 12th century, the town is best known for its annual Henley Regatta, although there are many more reasons to visit this beautiful town. The surrounding Chiltern Countryside and Thames Valley also provide plenty to explore, as do nearby Oxford and Reading.
During The Royal Regatta from 2016, all hotel reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 12:00 noon GMT, 2 days before your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case on a no-show, the first night will be charged.
The town centre is also home to a Literary Festival (www.literaryfestival.co.uk) and a weekly Farmers’ Market, every Thursday (www.henleytowncouncil.gov.uk), at which local farmers showcase and sell their award-winning produce.
You can find the country’s oldest theatre within a very short distance of the hotel (Kenton Theatre www.kentontheatre.co.uk). The nearby River and Rowing Museum (www.rrm.co.uk), Legoland (www.legoland.co.uk) and Windsor Castle www.windsor.gov.uk provide entertainment for all.
On the other hand, the local boat cruises (Thames Boat Cruise www.hobbsofhenley.com), wineries and breweries will provide sophisticated entertainment for all (Chiltern Valley winery and brewery www.chilternvalley.co.uk).
