An historic Georgian coaching inn, first recorded in 1650 as Globe Inn, in the heart of old King’s Lynn, Globe Hotel offers the best aspects of a modern hotel and bar. Relax in our beautiful garden and watch the River Great Ouse slide by. Music is played in the bar until midnight on a Thursday and bank holiday Sunday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. Music can be heard in our first-floor rooms and in all of our family rooms. If you prefer a quieter room (some are available), please specify at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
We have 37 rooms in the hotel, including a triple room, three family rooms and a wheelchair-accessible room with a wet room, situated near the lift. All rooms are en suite with tea- and coffee-making facilities, Freeview TV, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi. Check-in is from 2pm, with check-out by 11am.
Follow the signposts for the town centre and Old Town. If approaching from the west or south, follow the one-way system around the quay and past the Custom House. Globe Hotel is located at the far end of King Street, on the corner of the Tuesday Market Place. If approaching from the north or east, follow signs for the Corn Exchange. This will bring you around, past the docks, onto the Tuesday Market Place; Globe Hotel is located opposite Fraser Dawbarns.
Pay-and-display car parks located near the hotel are available for both long- and short-term stays, as well as free on-street parking between 5.30pm and 8.30am and all day on Sunday. For more details, please contact the hotel directly.
King’s Lynn train station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, with the local bus station within five minutes’ walk from the station.
King’s Lynn itself has much of historical interest to explore, while most visitors return to enjoy the nearby stunning countryside, including the west Norfolk coastline, a mass of sand dunes, reed beds and big skies.
Further along the coast, Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham, in particular, have world-renowned beaches. The royal estate of Sandringham is just 15 minutes’ drive away, while just between Sandringham and Hunstanton, you will find the beautiful farm and gardens known as Norfolk Lavender. The historic cathedral city of Norwich is also just 40 minutes’ drive away.
