Phil, who runs The Square Peg in the city, and his team were involved in the event, organised by the Colmore Business District initiative.

Leigh, together with kitchen managers from Wetherspoon pubs across Birmingham, showcased the great range of quality products available at the pubs.

Among the tasters on offer were Mexican chicken, Mexican beef burgers, superfood salads with salmon and chicken and an Aberdeen Angus steak flatbread.

Phil said: “The event was a great success, with all of the pubs from the city and surrounding area helping. It was a great idea to get involved and show potential customers our range on offer.”
