A ‘Taste of Italy’ week in Tewkesbury proved a great success, with The Royal Hop Pole adding to the Italian flavour of the Gloucestershire town.
The inaugural event, organised by an independent retailers’ group, which promotes the town, attracted 16 eateries to offer speciality dishes, wine and beer.
The Royal Hop Pole served handmade pizzas from the pub’s kitchen, during the week-long festival.
The town’s streets were decked out in green, white and red bunting and, in the market square, there were stalls selling Italian produce.
Grace Davey (pictured), hotel manager at The Royal Hop Pole, said: “It was the first time that the event had taken place, and our pizzas were very popular. It was a great opportunity for local businesses to do something together and promote our town.”
