The Kettleby Cross, in Melton Mowbray, has added local produce to existing dishes, for a Melton Mowbray twist to its burgers, as well as serving traditional local offerings in their own right.
The local food menu, a separate selection from the regular Wetherspoon options, includes a ploughman’s meal, with Dickinson & Morris traditional pork pie, Long Clawson Red Leicester and Colston Bassett Stilton Blue.
The pork pie is also available as a meal, served with chips and peas.
A classic cheese burger can also be topped with a local cheese of choice – either the Long Clawson Red Leicester or the Colston Bassett Stilton Blue.
Ross Cronin, shift manager at The Kettleby Cross, pictured centre with kitchen manager Ashley Davis (right) and managing director of Dickinson & Morris Stephen Hallam, said: “We believe that this is a great way to support businesses in the area and to showcase their excellent produce.”
