Getting the taste for new dishes

Getting the taste for new dishes

All four Wetherspoon pubs in Hull staged a big menu-launch event, offering customers free tasters of the new products now available at the pubs.

The Admiral of the Humber, The Three John Scotts, The William Wilberforce and The Zachariah Pearson each had a gazebo outside serving menu samples, including eggs Benedict, superfood pasta, chicken skewers and ice cream sundae.

A raffle at all of the pubs, to win a meal for two and a bottle of wine, raised £200 for local charity Cash for Kids.

Local radio station Viking FM’s mascot, Courage the Cat, also visited all four pubs on the day, supporting Cash for Kids.

Katie Younger, pub manager at The Zachariah Pearson, said: “The event was a great success. Customers enjoyed the new menu samples and gave generously to support our local charity.”
