Pub operator J D Wetherspoon has joined forces with Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Levi Roots to create a meal on its new menu, using his latest creation – Reggae Reggae Tomato Sauce.
The dish, Reggae Reggae chicken nachos, is available in all of the company’s 720 pubs across the UK, featuring nachos, topped with chicken breast pieces, in Levi Roots’s special Reggae Reggae Tomato Sauce.
In addition, the sauce is one of the toppings on Wetherspoon’s new gourmet vegetable burger.
Levi Roots came to prominence after winning financial backing for his Reggae Reggae Sauce on the BBC2 programme Dragons’ Den.
Wetherspoon’s assistant food development manager, Lewis Brigden, said: “We are the first pub company to create a meal featuring the sauce and are confident that our customers will enjoy the Reggae Reggae chicken nachos, as well as the sauce on the gourmet vegetable burger.”
Levi (pictured) said: “I am thrilled that my sauce can now be enjoyed by Wetherspoon’s customers across the UK.
“The company has an excellent reputation for its food – and I am proud that Reggae Reggae Tomato Sauce is now a feature on its menu.”
