9. Charities
It’s about more than money – we aim for our local events and activities to encourage real community spirit, whether raising money for a local charity or for our nominated company charity CLIC Sargent (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood).
This is an area in which we believe our corporate size can make a genuine difference at a local level.
We have already reached our pledged target to CLIC Sargent of £2 million, with our current aim to extend this total to £3 million.
We make other donations to local good causes via a charity committee, including donations, sponsorships, raffle prizes, computers for schools and unwanted furniture for local institutions.
