Historically, pubs have always been a focal point of any community, with our aim to now continue that tradition, for the benefit of the whole community.
Our community involvement varies a great deal:
- There are the many and various sports teams which we sponsor or support.
- We have consistently won design awards for all aspects of design and always take great care in preserving buildings’ heritage.
- Pubs’ names are chosen to reflect local history; there are local history panels, in all pubs, explaining the development of local industry.
- We commission paintings and sculptures from local artists and even school children.
- All of our pubs are committed to being a member of the local pubwatch scheme.
- We are widely regarded as one of the industry’s largest supporters of microbreweries.
