Discover Wetherspoon Careers
Since opening its first free house in London, in 1979, Wetherspoon has delivered a consistently high-quality and adaptable customer offering which has seen it expand across the UK – the company now has 695 free houses and employs over 18,000 staff.
This makes Wetherspoon one of the most successful and popular high-street free houses; this customer popularity is mirrored by its staff – as Wetherspoon is consistently featured as one of the UK’s ‘Top 100 Employers’, with an enviable staff-retention rate in its sector.
Delivering a unique and unrivalled food & drink offering for over 25 years has required constant innovation and development of the meals and drinks served – this development-and-improvement philosophy is also followed through with the staff.
Wetherspoon is committed to training and career progression – for those who seek it – and is widely recognised by its peers for its comprehensive training programmes, covering all levels of staff and discipline. Little wonder, then, that you will find pub mangers in the company who started part time in the kitchen; general managers whose first task was pulling a pint; even a chief executive who started as an area manager.
If you have the appetite and aptitude, Wetherspoon really is a place to maximise your potential.
Award-winning Wetherspoon

Now, that can’t be bad, can it?
